Hydrangea Botanical

This original piece was created in plaster, using hydrangeas from my Delta Mississippi Farm. Hydrangeas are pressed into clay, then a form is created and plaster is poured into the form.  After proper drying time, the form is removed and the clay peeled away, to reveal the finished cast. When the piece has dried completely, it is then painted in my Delta Blue Watercolor wash, then burnished in gold, varnished, and finally mounted onto a 5 x 5 inch gallery wrapped canvas.  Each piece is signed by the artist.
