Delta Migration with textural background

This sculpted Canadian Goose has been surrounded with wild Delta grasses, and is part of a series of three companion pieces, each sharing the same richly textured background reminiscent of carved wood or reeds, echoing the natural landscapes of the Mississippi Delta.

The relief has been hand-painted in watercolor, bringing depth and subtle color variation to the sculpted surface. Mounted on an 8” × 8” gallery canvas, it beautifully combines the tactile presence of plaster with the translucence of watercolor.
