Botanical Swag Corn Tassels

This original plaster piece was created using Corn Tassels from my Sunflower, Mississippi Farm.  Each piece has been pressed by hand into clay and surrounded by a form to which plaster is then poured.  Once set, the clay is peeled away and the sculpture is revealed.  After the plaster has dried, it is then painted by hand in my exclusive Delta Blue Watercolor Wash, and finally burnished in a beautiful gold paint, that brings the detail to life,  After painting, it is varnished & finally mounted on a 5 x 5 inch square canvas.
