A Delta Legacy — The Harvest

A celebration of the Mississippi Delta’s agricultural heritage, this botanical plaster relief brings together cotton bolls, field corn, soybeans, pecans, and corn tassels against the natural texture of corn husks. A soft Delta blue watercolor wash settles into the details, while a gilded border adds warmth and light.

Created as a larger version of my ornament for the Mississippi Governor’s Mansion Christmas tree in 2026, this piece honors the land, the harvest, and the generations whose stories are rooted in its soil.
